Highlands House is a great romantic retreat for one couple, or a vacation getaway for two couples near the waterfalls, lakes and hiking trails of Moran State Park on the side of Mount Constitution. Set in total privacy, the house is surrounded by cedar and fir trees affording peaceful nature views from every window.

The 30 foot cedar and glass living room has a fieldstone fireplace at one end. An open kitchen at the other end is completely furnished with all appliances, dishes and cookware. The beautiful cedar table is set for your arrival with a gorgeous view of the water.
The west side of the house is all glass with wonderful views of water, islands and sunsets. All rooms open onto the spacious deck with hot tub, adirondack chairs and barbecue.
A Highlands House sunset There are two separate queen bedroom suites, one at each end of the house. They are each furnished with a four poster peeled log bed, down pillows and comforter, antique pine dresser, and private bathroom with Italian stone tiled floor. They have a lovely view.
A bedroom, with the hot tub and view beyond This is a relaxing environment which has been lovingly prepared for our guests. We invite you to:
- Read a book in the big chairs by the stone fireplace
- Cook a gourmet meal in the fully equipped kitchen, or barbecue, or
- Make popcorn in the microwave and
- Watch great movies on the VCR or
- Listen to music or
- Relax in the hot tub as the sun sets, and again when the stars come out
- Hear the quiet and see the beauty

If you want to see the island, you might drive:
We Provide: All linens, towels, dishes, cookware, barbecue, TV, VCR, radio, CD/tape player, telephone.
- a few minutes to the state park for a swim in the lake or a hike through the forest trails
- down the hill to Rosario Resort for dinner or Sunday brunch
- 5 minutes to the village of Eastsound for charming bistros, cafes, and shops
- to explore artist and pottery studios tucked around the island
- to meet your kayaking guide, or sailing charter, or whale watching boat trip with the nice people who take you out on those trips
You Bring: Your food, charcoal for the barbecue, CD’s and tapes.
We are open all year. We’d love to have you as our guests. There is a 2 night minimum, with 3 nights during the summer. No smoking please.
